The Tanniq Aviator: A Legacy in Distressed Lambskin
The Aviator is one of the most versatile jackets in our range, and the detachable sherpa collar is the reason why.
With the collar on, it reads as a classic heritage aviator bomber — the kind of jacket with clear roots in flight gear, with texture, warmth, and real visual weight. With the collar detached, it becomes a cleaner, more contemporary bomber that works in completely different settings. One jacket, two distinct looks, and the switch takes about ten seconds. The collar buttons on and off securely along the neckline — it won't shift or droop when it's on, and it stores flat when it's off.
The jacket body is made from full-grain distressed lambskin — the softest, most supple leather in our range. The distressing is applied during tanning to give the hide an antique, broken-in appearance from day one, with subtle variation in tone across the surface that makes each jacket unique. Unlike sheepskin or cowhide, lambskin has almost no break-in period — it drapes and moves naturally the moment you put it on, and continues to soften and develop its own character the more you wear it.
Available in both brown and black. The brown has a warm, burnished tone that deepens with wear. The black is clean and deep with the same distressed texture visible in certain light. Both colourways use the same leather and construction — the choice is purely about how you want to wear it.
The interior is lined with quilted navy nylon that adds a layer of warmth and makes the jacket easy to pull on and off. Cotton and nylon blend ribbed cuffs and waistband keep the classic bomber shape and seal the hem at the wrists and waist. Twin side pockets at the waist plus a single interior chest pocket cover your storage needs without adding bulk.
