The Tanniq Vanguard: A Legacy of Flight and Authority
The Vanguard is a flight jacket done the right way — clean aviator lines, genuine sheepskin, and a fit that works whether you're wearing it over a shirt or a heavy knit.
The leather is 100% premium sheepskin, hand-selected at our workshop in Lahore. Sheepskin is naturally lighter than cowhide and has a softer, more fluid drape — it doesn't feel stiff or bulky when you put it on. The deep black tone is consistent throughout the hide and holds its depth well over time, developing a subtle sheen with regular wear rather than fading or cracking like cheaper alternatives.
The silhouette is blouson-style — slightly relaxed through the chest and body, with elasticated cuffs and a ribbed hem that cinch the jacket in at the wrists and waist. This gives it the classic flight jacket shape without looking oversized. The shirt-style leather collar is what sets the Vanguard apart from most flight jackets — it sits flat and clean, making this jacket versatile enough to wear to work or out in the evening, not just on weekends.
Two large front flap pockets sit at the chest and give the jacket its utilitarian character. There's also a sleeve pocket — small but useful for a card or folded note. A heavy-duty front zip runs smoothly and holds securely in cold wind.
The fit is what we call comfort cut — a little more room through the shoulders and chest than our biker styles, designed for easy layering. If you're between sizes, size down for a cleaner look or stay true to size for a more relaxed fit.
Every part of this jacket — cutting, stitching, finishing — is done in-house by our team in Lahore. No outsourcing, no shortcuts.
