TANNIQ Steel Rider Cowhide Biker Jacket
If the Viper is the jacket you wear every day, the Steel Rider is the one you reach for when you mean business. This is a heavyweight cowhide biker jacket — denser, stiffer, and more structured than our sheepskin styles — built for riders and for anyone who wants a jacket that genuinely holds its shape decade after decade.
Cowhide is the most durable leather we work with. It's thicker than sheepskin or lambskin, has a natural firmness to it, and takes longer to break in — but once it does, it fits like nothing else. The Steel Rider uses full-grain cowhide selected for consistent grain and density at our workshop in Lahore. The deep black finish is natural to the hide, not painted on, so it ages cleanly without peeling or flaking.
The design is classic asymmetric biker — offset front zip, lapel collar, and motorcycle-inspired paneling across the chest and shoulders that adds structure where you need it. The paneling isn't decorative; it reinforces the areas that take the most wear during riding and daily use. YKK zippers throughout, which is worth mentioning because cheaper jackets cut corners here first — YKK hardware opens smoothly, doesn't snag, and lasts as long as the leather does.
The cuffs are zip-adjustable so you can close them tight against the wind or wear them open. The white interior lining makes it easy to put on and take off and keeps the jacket comfortable against skin. A single interior zip pocket sits inside the chest lining — secure enough for a phone or wallet on a ride.
This jacket runs true to size but has less initial give than our sheepskin styles. If you run between sizes and want room to layer, size up. If you want a snug fit from day one, stay true to size — it will soften and shape to your body within a few months of regular wear.
